Bringing together government, building owners, developers, certifiers, insurers, fire safety professionals and architects to develop solutions and ensure the safety and compliance of Australia’s buildings

Safe Cladding, Buildings & Façade Innovation Summit, Melbourne

Conference: 19 November 2019   |     Pre-conference workshop: 18  November 2019
The final report of the Victorian Cladding Taskforce released in July 2019 has warned that the construction industry could grind to a halt if insurance concerns are not addressed. The establishment of a $600 million fund led by the newly-formed Cladding Safety Victoria to rectify the hundreds of buildings identified as requiring rectification in the State-wide Cladding Audit highlights the gravity of the current situation.

With the new National Construction Code (NCC) having come into effect on 1 May 2019, following three years of review and industry consultation, minimum standards have now been established for the design and construction of all new buildings in Australia.

Join us this November at the Safe Cladding, Buildings and Façade Innovation Summit as we find out what Cladding Safety Victoria is doing to support building owners facing combustible cladding, how the NCC 2019 changes have impacted the building and construction sector, the future outlook for insurance coverage in the industry and strategies and solutions to ensure the safety and compliance of current and future buildings.

Bringing together the key stakeholders in the industry, including policymakers, building owners and asset managers, certifiers and surveyors, architects, insurers and fire safety professionals, don’t miss out on this key event, taking place in Melbourne from 19 November this year.
As the leading, first and only national event series, the Safe Cladding, Buildings and Facade Innovation Summit will also be taking place in Auckland (Nov 2019), Sydney and Brisbane (Feb 2020). Click here to find out more about the series and locations  >
